New Zealand and South Africa will be the first countries to no longer receive Google Play Music services. Gradually, Google will stop its services in other regions, until next October.

Starting at the end of this month, Google will no longer accept payments for music purchases from its Play Store app. For that, for the next few months, Google urges its users to move their entire library contents to new services, including playlists, artists, albums, songs, purchased content, recommendations, and uploads.

During the transfer process, Google still allowed users to take advantage of the Play Music service until it was completely stopped. Towards the closure of services, Google also promised that they will provide many notifications before Play Music closes.

Google Play Music was released in 2011. This service allows users to store their music collections on cloud storage services and buy more songs for download.

YouTube Music itself is rebranding from Google Play Music which has been added as a default application, since the Android OS 10. “We made a decision, it only made sense to have YouTube Music,” said Product Head Brandon Bilinski in an interview with BBC.

Following VOI has summarized how to transfer the table of contents to songs from Google Play Music to YouTube Music:

1. Download the YouTube Music app (Android).

2. Click on your profile picture in the upper right corner.

3. Touch Settings.

4. Select Transfer from Google Play Music.

5. The transition process will then take place and will immediately appear on the YouTube Music home screen, and Google will notify you when the transfer of your music playlist is complete.
